The Phoenix Pride Festival will take place October 15-16, 2022 to coincide with National Coming Out Day (October 11).ĪSU celebrates Pride Week during the month of April. While other cities and college campuses hold Pride parades in June, Phoenix and ASU celebrate later in the year when the weather cools down and students return to campus. This is not only a time of celebration but a time for reflection commemorating the Stonewall Uprising, which occurred in June of 1969 and the impact that the LGBTQIA+ community has had since. Pride Month, celebrated during the month of June brings rainbow flags, glitter and festivities all across the globe, recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community and culture.
